Maple Glazed Mixed Nuts

Maple glazed mixed nuts seasoned with our All Purpose Cajun blend just before roasting!

Maple Glazed Mixed Nuts Ingredients:

• 1 Cup Almonds, raw
• 1 Cup Pecans, raw
• 1 Cup Pumpkin Seeds, raw
• 1 Cup Cashews, raw
• You can use ANY combination of raw nuts in equal proportion
• 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup (use pure maple syrup straight from the tree if possible)
• 2 Tablespoons butter, melted (this is OPTIONAL - your preference salted or unsalted)
• 1 –2 Tablespoons All Purpose Cajun Seasonings (we used 2 tablespoons)
• Salt to taste (about 1 teaspoon works)

Instructions:

• Preheat oven to 325° (oven temps vary)
• In a large bowl, add all ingredients together and mix well (butter must be melted first if used)
• Pour mixture onto a parchment-lined full size baking sheet and spread into a single layer
• Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, turning once and spreading evenly on pan
• Cool and serve (use additional Cajun Seasonings and salt as a topping as it cools if desired)

Pro Tips:

Oven temps vary! Stir the nuts about every 7 minutes and watch closely. Nuts will be golden brown and slightly crunchy when ready. Overly roasted nuts will be dark brown.

Nuts roast at different rates. Cashews will be slightly chewy but still a touch crunchy when they are ready. Pecans roast faster and will be crunchier.

Sauce pans on the stovetop work better than microwaves to melt butter! We only use cast iron or carbon steel—never microwaves—to melt butter.

Add dry ingredients to the bowl first. Then, gradually add All Purpose Cajun Seasonings and your preference on salt to ensure an even coverage.

Sprinkle a little more seasonings and salt to taste over the top when cooling if desired. Adding more seasonings or salt to the top will kick it up a few notches!

You can use ANY combination of mixed nuts or use the same recipe and process with ANY single nut selection of your choice. (See walnut photo below.)
